Fact: Every relationship in your life past, present, and future is directly related to the state of your heart. So, let’s take some time to examine that heart of yours: do a little thoughtful introspection, examine its quality, realign your priorities, begin to fix what’s broken, begin to strengthen what’s weak, find what’s lost and … make God smile a bit.
Let me introduce you to: Eve and The Only Guy On the Planet – A Heart of Perfection. Sarah and The Guy She Was With For One Hundred Years – A Heart Of Patience. Leah and Her Sister’s Husband – A Heart Of Self Confidence. Tamar and The Guy She Picked Up On The Side Of The Road – A Heart Of Strength. Rahab and The Guy Who Got It For Free – A Heart of Belief. Bathsheba and The Guy Who Didn’t Give Her Much Choice – A Heart Of Trust. And Mary and The Perfect One – A Heart Of Obedience.
Realize what is at the heart of the matter: A Heart Committed To God.

Once again Sue McGeown has brought the characters
of the Bible to life, allowing us to admire
them and scorn them, and most importantly,
learn from their mistakes, trials and
triumphs, all the while examining our own
life’s journey. The book is a history
book, a novel, a workbook, and a love letter
from God. You will most assuredly know
God and yourself better and love God and
yourself more as you turn that last page.
It was great to go through this book and have the
author as leader but don’t let that stop you
from buying the book.
These are stories many of us are very
familiar with – some are very sad but at the
same time there can be humor in the stories
we don’t always see.
Many times there is a different
perspectives we fail to consider.
This is a wonderful study to give you
that different point of view.
We found it worked especially well in
our women’s group.
easily breathes life into each character as their personal stories unfold. You do get your Bible out and check to see if what you are reading is actually in the Bible. Each woman had her own Biblical history, and Sue placed a rare twist on each woman's story that allowed you to really get to know them. My hat goes off to this gifted writer that has a special flair of expression, mixing all these facts and presenting them in such an easy and enjoyable read. This book is a fabulous read for a small group, where women and men alike can learn more about the Biblical women and in which discussion would flow easily.
I have read several of Sue’s books and enjoyed them all. As I was reading Biblical Women, I felt as if I were part of each woman’s journey. Sue writes in such a way that brings these women to life, and you find yourself struggling with their situations and being vindicated right along with them. I enjoy most the way Sue “writes as she speaks,” making the story both uplifting and fun to read.
